COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT

This agreement outlines our co-op’s values and the biblical basis for them.

We encourage you to read the entire Cooperative Agreement and prayerfully consider how your family can fully commit to these values. Your signature will be required when you register.

TEACHING COMMITMENT:

Values: Diligence, Preparation, and Follow-through

The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance and advantage, but everyone who acts in haste comes surely to poverty. (Proverbs 21:5)

In order to provide our children with the highest quality programs that we can, we commit to the following:

To be diligent in our preparation for our teaching day responsibilities, obtaining the information, materials, and methods of presentation that would best suit the needs and ages of the children in our classes;
To provide a brief, weekly update to parents of material covered in class
[example: what’s app text – “parents, today we learned about mammals and their respiratory systems. Attached is a diagram we looked at today.”]
To model promptness and consideration by arriving at the church facility in time to have our children and supplies unloaded and prepared for the day prior to chapel;
To strive for excellence in our presentations and to strive to inspire the children in our classes to pursue excellence in their work;
To make co-op attendance a top priority, scheduling family vacations and other commitments on different days as much as possible.
In the case of an absence, to make sure that all responsibilities for co-op are covered in advance (ideally by another co-op member or parent) and communicated with the facilities coordinator.
To attempt to live out our faith before the children in our classes, modeling integrity, compassion, honesty, and Christ-like behavior, and holding them accountable to the same standards.

FINANCIAL COMMITMENT

Values: Frugality, Stewardship, Transparency

But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

In order to honor our collective obligations to the church facility, and to each other, we commit to the following:

To support the financial requirements of the co-op by submitting semester fees. The fees should be submitted to the treasurer each semester by the due date set by the admin committee. Fees are not refundable, even in cases of withdrawal from co-op.
To exercise good stewardship of our collective resources by staying within the budget set for our classes, and submitting reimbursement requests to the treasurer in a timely manner within one week of the end of each session;
To treat all materials with the utmost care, and in the event that an item is lost or damaged while in the care of our family, we will be responsible for replacing such items in a timely manner;
To understand that if the group disbands, the current admin committee will determine how any assets will be used. We as individuals will lay no claim to assets.
If we experience a financial hardship that will affect our ability to follow through with our commitment, we agree to contact the treasurer immediately so that payment arrangements can be made.

COMMITMENT TO OTHER MEMBERS

Values: Mutual Support, Inclusion, Heart to Serve

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)

It is our desire to foster relationships between families and to model fellowship and friendship. To that end, we strive to treat each other with respect and consideration, and agree to the following:

To refrain from exposing others to illness, children or adults that exhibit any of the following symptoms will not attend: fever greater than 99.0, questionable rash, lice, diarrhea, vomiting, contagious disease.
To bring only children in kindergarten or older to attend teaching day without a parent present and only under special circumstances cleared by the facilities coordinator;
To make every attempt to attend bi-annual planning meetings. An attendee at the meetings will take minutes and provide them to the group to ensure transparency
To demonstrate God's love in my relationships with others, assisting those who need help, showing kindness, using good manners, and working to be a blessing to those around me. I will extend friendship to all others in my group. I will make a continuous effort be on good terms with everyone, excluding no one.

CHILDREN’S CODE OF CONDUCT

Values: Respect, Kindness, Diligence, Orderliness

I will respect the adults who are in authority over me by quietly listening when they speak and by promptly obeying their instructions.
Likewise, you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” (1 Peter 5:5)
I will demonstrate God's love in my relationships with others, assisting those who need help, showing kindness, using good manners, and working to be a blessing to those around me. I will extend friendship to all others in my group. I will make a continuous effort be on good terms with everyone, excluding no one.
Let your gentleness be known to all men. (Phil. 4:5)
Fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind, let each esteem others better than himself. (Phil. 2:2-3)
Remembering that I am a child of God, I will honor Him with my words by using wholesome speech and by not making excessive or inappropriate noise. I will not tease, call names, tell secrets, or act in ways that hurt or embarrass others. I will search for ways to encourage and bless others with my speech.
Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips. (Psalms 141:3)
I will respect the supplies and property of others, including the church facility. I will ask before I borrow, take care of what I have, and return items to their proper place. I will clean up my messes, and I will help to keep the church facility clean. I will not intentionally cause disorder or destruction.
Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. (Luke 16:10)
I will behave in an orderly way, raising my hand to ask a question, staying in my assigned room until I am dismissed, walking quietly between classes, and by only bringing to classes those items that are to be used in class that day so as not to be a distraction to those around me.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Gal. 5:22-23)
