CHAPEL
We start our morning with group worship during chapel time. There will be prayer, a hymn study, and a spiritual meditation.
ELECTIVE SESSION
Next, we break into smaller groups for our elective session. Adult members can share their special interests and passions with the kids, who will enjoy learning a variety of topics over the course of the year (each elective session lasts for 5 consecutive weeks, with 2 elective choices offered during each session and occasional bonus elective offered to children aged 10+).
Example electives from past years: apologetics, cooking, public speaking, science experiments, anatomy, art, spanish, sewing, PE
BRAIN BREAK
After this, we’ll take a quick “brain break." Kids will love letting off some steam and running free before focusing in for our next session!
ONE ROOM SCHOOLHOUSE
In our next session, we learn all together, “one room schoolhouse” style. This year, we will offer Scientific Method + Experiements (culminating in a Science Fair) in the fall and "Great Scientists Through History" in the spring. The lessons will be tailored to all ages, with an emphasis on group work and a hands-on activity included each week.
OPEN MIC
We invite any child with a recitation to share to take the microphone during our open mic. Recitations could include (but are not limited to): a memorized poem or speech, memorized Bible verses, performance on an instrument, a prepared public speech, a sewing or art project show and tell, etc.

Public speaking & recitation can be challenging to practice in the home because of lack of audience, so we are delighted to offer this skill-building opportunity to our members.
​
As the performances conclude, we will share final announcements and dismiss at noon.
OPTIONAL: Co-op families will gather at a local park (weather permitting) for lunch and fellowship after the co-op day.
