On Friday, March 4th, Four Corners Homeschool Co-op had an interesting guest speaker. Matt Sweeny is a retired fighter pilot that served in the U.S. Military.

 

As a young man he underwent training to pursue his career. Despite his difficulties in math and science he managed to achieve his goals with the help of tutors. In his presentation he shared his belief that service towards others is important. Sweeny said, "when you learn to be of service to others, I don't think there is anything you cannot do." He also shared how prayer is important to him. He said, "I always prayed about my work. I prayed about my safety and more importantly the people around me, the people who were on the ground working on my jet, the people that were flying with me and also sometimes the people I might have to fight on the ground that were shooting at me."

 

Mr. Sweeny gave a very inspirational presentation that the teachers and students found unique and interesting.
